Operations Specialist


Reporting to: Imogen Harding (Supply Chain Operations Manager)
Salary Range: £28-30k (dependant on experience)
Other: Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme
Location: Eynsham, Oxfordshire (there may be occasional travel)


Overview of role:

Mixergy is a fast growth cleantech business which develops smart and connected hot water tanks enabling households to live better, save money and reduce their impact on the environment. We are re-thinking how hot water is done, using technology to find cost-effective and convenient solutions which help people live more sustainably.

Alongside the mass market deployment of our smart hot water tanks in the UK and overseas, we are also the first to intelligently connect a decentralised, digital network of tanks that can provide flexibility to the grid and support the clean energy transition. As we look ahead to 2030, our goal is to provide a clear path to transition from fossil fuel heating to low and zero carbon alternatives, enabling us to achieve our vision to make hot water cheaper, greener, and better for all.

To support our continuing fast growth, we are looking for a proactive and dynamic Operations Specialist to help us support Supply Chain and Logistics functions and manage our growing order base.

By working closely with the Operations team and Production Manager, you will:

  • Order stock from suppliers to fulfil demand and maintain service levels
  • Process order confirmations from suppliers quickly and effectively, liaising with other departments where necessary
  • Track orders to ensure timely deliveries, chase suppliers for overdue items & resolve issues where stock does not arrive exactly as it should
  • Communicate informed risks within the business to key stakeholders
  • Plan transport based on product availability and customer requirements
  • Prepare shipping documents (invoices, purchase orders etc)
  • Lead our Goods In process with the Production team and assist with order / invoice reconciliation with Accounts as necessary
  • Co-ordinate metrics and reports for review and analysis within the Operations Team

  • Ability to forward plan, assess requirements and implement improvements

  • A good working knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, Salesforce is desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
  • A desire to learn, develop and grow within our business
