Mixergy are thrilled to announce that we are now working with CALA Homes, where our Mixergy tank can be found installed alongside solar PV panels, electric vehicle charging provisions and the energy-efficient materials and techniques being offered by CALA Homes (East), within the homes being built as part of the Queenswood development in Linlithgow, Scotland.

The Mixergy tank deployed at Queenswood, contains our proprietary solar PV diverter board, allowing the hot water tank to heat up using excess solar energy generated by the roof mounted Viridian solar panels. The combination of Mixergy’s “heat what you need” technology along with its onboard solar PV diverter, will ensure that buyers on this development will benefit greatly from reduced energy bills, whilst having increased control and visibility of their hot water usage via the Mixergy app on their phone.

Tom Mitchell, Technical Director of CALA Homes (East) commented “Thanks to Mixergy’s connections to our solar panels we’ve been able to design and build each home at Queenswood to an A grade energy performance rating. We love the technology behind Mixergy and the idea that buyers can control the system from their phones to only heat what they need throughout the day.”

Mixergy were impressed with CALA Homes’ approach to look beyond the minimum building regulations to offer their buyers exceptional levels of performance, which really struck our appeal to them as a prestige house builder. Hot water cylinders are usually seen as a commodity item by developers so, we are thrilled to be working alongside CALA in their environmentally considered, and beautifully made homes that buyers will enjoy and love for many years to come.
