Heat what you need to save on bills

With a Mixergy tank you can heat just the hot water you need – this is typically around 50% of the tank volume. This means tenants can save energy and money every time they don’t heat their whole tank.

By heating smarter, tenants can save up to 20% on hot water bills.

Reduce tenants' energy bills

Smart tariff ready

Mixergy tanks can be easily programmed to take advantage of off-peak tariffs (like Economy 7 or 10) or new dynamic time-of-use tariffs.

This means tenants can use smart scheduling to prioritise heating the Mixergy tank only during the cheap periods, saving between 10% and 40% on hot water bills.

Reduce tenants' energy bills

Reduced gas consumption by up to 21%

For tenants on mains gas, the Energy Savings Trust has verified that Mixergy tanks can save up to 21% of gas consumption through better, smarter control of the cylinder set-point temperature.

EST tests also showed that the Mixergy tank is the most efficient cylinder tested in every department, outperforming other top branded cylinders.

Reduce tenants' energy bills

Enabling greater energy control

Mixergy tanks provide a zero-cost way for tenants to take control through a simple and intuitive gauge or through the Mixergy App.

Through education and engagement, tenants can be empowered to realise additional savings on their total energy costs.

Helping housing providers to decarbonise housing stock

For years housing providers have played a leading role in the nascent energy transition, decarbonising homes through a melee of government initiatives and ad hoc funding streams.

As Government policy sets out even more ambitious targets for the wholesale decarbonisation of new and existing homes, private and social housing providers will be front and centre of what promises to be a massive challenge.

To support this, Mixergy are delivering cost-effective and practical solutions which enable housing providers to achieve compliance with policy objectives as they transition housing stock towards zero carbon heating.

Decarbonising housing stock

Future-proofed for low carbon heat technology

Optimising the use of zero and low carbon energy is a key function of the Mixergy tank.

As well as being designed to operate with multiple energy sources now, our system is future-proofed for the roll-out of low carbon heating technology in the years ahead – like heat pumps and hydrogen boilers.

Decarbonising housing stock

Phasing out of gas and oil boilers

Housing providers will be grappling with the phase out of natural gas and oil boilers for the next 10 years and more.

Simply installing a Mixergy tank to an existing boiler can reduce average gas consumption for hot water production by 12%. And should the time come for the boiler to be replaced by a heat pump, all Mixergy tanks are now heat pump ready so you can easily make the change without worrying about the tank.

Decarbonising housing stock

Harnessing free solar energy

You can easily connect a PV array to a Mixergy tank to heat water using the spare electricity being generated from the sun. In this way, the tank becomes a bit like a lithium ion battery solution, but 4-5 times less expensive.

The Mixergy tank can also connect to solar water heating panels which can then use a boiler or immersion to top-up the tank in winter months.

Improve the energy performance rating score of housing stock

The Mixergy tank is now exclusively featured in the Appendix Q product database, allowing housing providers to factor the additional carbon savings into the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP and RdSAP), upon which Environmental Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Dwelling Emission rates are based.

Housing providers who install a Mixergy tank will now be able to accurately calculate and report its effect on the energy efficiency of a heating and hot water system – and include that information in the dwelling’s overall EPC rating.

Remote monitoring and diagnostics

Mixergy’s cloud connectivity and enterprise dashboard lets housing management teams remotely monitor their fleet of tank through a single IOT platform.

Benefits include:

  • Fault diagnosis and remote repair
  • Monitoring water hygiene and cleansing
  • Hot water temperature control
  • Free software and firmware updates
  • Switching off hot water in void properties.

Sizes to suit all property types

Mixergy tanks are available in a range of sizes and dimensions to suit all types of housing stock.

The faster, more efficient heating means you can install a smaller tank without having a loss in performance. Our slimline Heat Pump Ready tanks are ideal for retrofitting in existing homes where space is tight.
