This page explains the manufacturer warranty provided by Mixergy Ltd for eligible Mixergy products installed in the United Kingdom. 

1. What this warranty covers 

Mixergy warrants that, during the relevant warranty period, the covered product components will be free from corrosion, material defects, and manufacturing faults, subject to the conditions and exclusions below. This warranty applies to: 

  • Mixergy X  
  • Solar X 
  • Mixergy iHP X  
  • Cube X  

Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights. 

2. Warranty periods 

Warranty length depends on the component and, for some items, whether the product has been registered. 

Registration via the Warranty Registration Form must be completed within 60 days of commissioning or first legal completion of the property.  

Mixergy X, Solar X and iHP X Stainless Steel Cylinder (Inner Vessel, Inc. Sensor Strip) 

  • 25 years with registration via the Mixergy Warranty Registration Form (exc. labour) 
  • 2 years without registration (inc. parts and labour) 
  • Covers Corrosion and Material Defects (Potable Water Only, Non-Mains Supply Will Invalidate Any Warranty) 

Cube X Vessel (inc. Sensor Strip) 

  • 5 years with registration (exc. labour) 
  • 2 years standard (inc. parts and labour) 

iHP X & Cube X Core Hardware 

  • 5 years with registration via the Mixergy Warranty Registration Form (exc. labour) 
  • 2 years standard (inc. parts and labour) 
  • Includes, but not limited to: 
    • Heat Pump Head Unit 
    • Three-Way Valves 
    • Pre-Plumbed Assemblies and Structural Parts (not including Top-up Pump) 
    • Thermostatic Blending Valve & Flexible Hose Connections 

Controllers & Electronics (All Products) 

  • 2 years standard (inc. parts and labour) 
  • Includes, but not limited to: 
    • Mixergy Controller 
    • Gauge 
    • Embedded Solar Diverter 
    • Heat Pump Controller 
    • PV Switch Controller 

Ancillary Components (All Products) 

  • 2 years standard (inc. parts and labour) 
  • Includes, but not limited to: 
    • Top-Up Pump 
    • Immersion Heaters 
    • Valves 
    • Overheat Thermostat 
    • Expansion Vessels 
    • T&P Valve 
    • Inlet Control Group 
    • Two Port Valve 
    • Heat Pump Kit Plate Heat Exchanger 

3. Transferability 

This warranty is transferable if the property is sold, provided the service history is retained and passed to the new owner. 

4. Conditions of warranty 

Your warranty remains valid only if all the following are met: 

  • Installation is completed by a competent person in accordance with current UK Building Regulations and Mixergy installation instructions 
  • The Benchmark commissioning checklist is completed and retained 
  • An annual service is carried out and documented, either in the installation manual or supported by proof of payment from the servicing installer 
  • The servicing engineer is registered with an appropriate competent person scheme (for example Gas Safe Register, where applicable) 
  • The product has not been altered and has not been damaged by misuse, neglect, frost, limescale, or excessive temperature 
  • Water chemistry remains within recommended limits, including chloride below 300 ppm 

Replacing any component, or replacing the whole appliance, does not restart the warranty period. 

5. Standard Warranty start date and proof (any one of these apply) 

New Build Housing Development – First ownership 

  • Legal completion date of property ownership  
  • A completed Benchmark form in the Mixergy installation instructions, or a completed label on the appliance 
  • The date the appliance came online in the Mixergy IO database  

Owner Occupied Home or Second Ownership onwards 

  • Original proof of purchase 
  • A completed Benchmark form in the Mixergy installation instructions, or a completed label on the appliance 
  • The date the appliance came online in the Mixergy IO database 

Social Housing or Residential Rented  

  • A completed Benchmark form in the Mixergy installation instructions, or a completed label on the appliance 
  • The date the appliance came online in the Mixergy IO database 

The warranty start date is determined by one of the following (as applicable): 

If none of the above is available, the warranty start date may be calculated as up to 9 months after the date the appliance was tested on the Mixergy production line at end of line test (MTT). 

6. Exclusions and limitations 

This warranty does not cover: 

  • Products installed outside the United Kingdom 
  • Installations not carried out in accordance with Mixergy installation instructions 
  • Consequential losses (including property damage or loss of earnings) 
  • Failures caused by scale, water quality issues, or water quality related damage 
  • Third party components not supplied by Mixergy 
  • Replacement parts or replacement appliances beyond the remainder of the original warranty period 
  • Licensed products  

Hard water requirement: in areas where hardness exceeds 200 ppm CaCO₃, a water softener must be installed for the warranty to remain valid. 

7. How to make a warranty claim

  • Proof of installation and service history 
  • Photos and a description of the issue 

Support for out of warranty products, including replacement parts and technical assistance for legacy systems, may be available. 

8. Definitions 

  • Registration means completing the Mixergy product registration process via the Mixergy Warranty Registration Form, where offered, to access the registered warranty periods stated above. 
  • Potable water means water suitable for domestic use.
