The Mixergy Care Plan

Terms and Conditions

Mixergy care plans allow customers to validate their product warranty via remote diagnostics without the need for annual inspection. If your hot water and heating servicing are already covered through a different subscription plan (such as British Gas Homecare) we do not recommend that you subscribe to Mixergy Care.

Additionally, Mixergy still recommends that the operation of the safety valves (temperature and pressure relief valves) are checked on an annual basis, either by a qualified professional or a competent homeowner following the guidance detailed in the ‘Servicing and Maintenance’ section of the Mixergy Installation and Servicing Guide (document reference MDC0001).

Our terms and conditions depend on which Care Plan you have opted for:

Mixergy Care

With Mixergy Care, your 25-year warranty will be honoured without the need for an annual service and recorded inspection, instead, the tank will be remotely inspected. However, in order for the Mixergy Care plan to be valid, the following terms must be adhered to:

  1. Your Mixergy tank has been installed and commissioned by a G3 qualified heating engineer and is fully compliant with all the install guidelines set out in the accompanying installer manual
  2. Your Mixergy tank must be connected to the Mixergy platform for at least 300 days per year to allow for remote diagnostics. Note, you can confirm whether your Mixergy tank is connected by inspecting the connectivity status light on the tank’s gauge. This will light up blue when connected and will remain unlit when not connected.
  3. For any instance where your Mixergy tank is unconnected, it must be reconnected within 28 days for this plan to remain valid
  4. You can subscribe to a Mixergy Care plan at any time, however, outside of the statutory 2 year warranty period post-installation, the subscription has to be in place for at least 2 weeks.
  5. Your Mixergy tank has not been modified in any way, other than by the manufacturer
  6. Your Mixergy tank has not been misused, tampered with, or subjected to neglect
  7. Your Mixergy tank has not been subjected to incidental water or fire damage due to another cause within the building
  8. Your Mixergy tank has only been used for the storage of domestic hot water
  9. Your Mixergy tank has not been subjected to frost damage
  10. Your Mixergy tank is installed in the UK or the Republic of Ireland
  11. The water supply does not have a chloride content greater than 300ppm
  12. Where the water hardness is greater than 270ppm, a water softener is installed to the cold supply feeding the tank
  13. Where a plate heat exchanger is supplied with the tank (for use with heat pumps) the water must be in a soft area or plumbing system deployed with a water softer
  14. Units are not installed with uncontrollable heat sources (e.g. Wood Burning Stoves)
  15. All peripheral components are subject to a 3-year guarantee. All Mixergy supplied componentry are detailed in Appendix A below.
  16. Mixergy reserves the right to terminate the Care Plan, in the event that this happens, payments will cease and any outstanding cover period will be reimbursed
  17. Mixergy reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions associated with this plan at any stage, customers will be notified of such changes in advance
  18. Mixergy reserves the right to increase the price of this plan at any time to reflect changes in business costs and/or inflation
  19. In the event that you wish to cancel your Care Plan, you can do so at any time and service will persist for the remainder of the billing period and the following payment will not be withdrawn from your account

 

Mixergy Care Plus

With Mixergy Care Plus, your 25-year warranty will be honoured without the need for an annual service and recorded inspection, instead, the tank will be remotely inspected.

In addition, under Mixergy Care Plus, any Mixergy supplied peripheral components and associated replacement labour charges will be covered. All Mixergy supplied peripheral components are detailed in Appendix A below. However, in order for the Mixergy Care Plus plan to be valid, the following terms must be adhered to:

  1. Terms from 1.1 through to 1.14 above apply
  2. Where a peripheral component needs to be replaced, the cost of the component will be covered under Mixergy Care Plus for as long as this subscription is maintained
  3. Labour charges associated with replacing parts are limited to Mixergy peripheral componentry detailed in Appendix A
  4. Any parts replaced under Mixergy Care Plus, must be fitted by a G3 qualified service engineer. If you would like to use a Mixergy approved installer, please go to the following webpage to find out more: https://www.mixergy.co.uk/find-an-installer/
  5. Mixergy reserves the right to terminate this Care Plan, in the event that this happens, payments will cease and any outstanding cover period will be reimbursed

Appendix A: Mixergy Supplied Peripheral Componentry Covered by Mixergy Care Plus

  1. Domestic hot water expansion vessel
  2. Pressure reducing valve (PRV)
  3. Temperature and pressure relief (T&PR) valve
  4. Immersion heater
  5. Tank gauge
  6. Tank controller
  7. Indirect safety cut-out
  8. Pump assembly
